About this place
A working olive farm on a heritage farm in the heart of the Klein Karoo, with historic buildings sensitively restored by SAOTA and Jaco Booyens Architect. The property blends contemporary and period furniture and art with original Cape Dutch architecture, offering guests a piece of South African history.
Four self-catering units are available: the thatched Cape Dutch Main House with two bedrooms, a two-sided fireplace and a natural stone-lined pool; the pink-washed Wine Store nestled in the olive grove; and two converted Barns (Large and Small) with Swartberg views, fireplaces and courtyard access.
Buffelsdrift sits on the R323 just outside Ladismith and makes an ideal base for exploring the Swartberg, Towerkop and the greater Klein Karoo.
