Big Five

About Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Ol Pejeta is a non-profit conservancy on the Laikipia plateau between Mount Kenya and the Aberdares, and one of the largest black rhino sanctuaries in East Africa. It is home to the last northern white rhinos, guarded around the clock, and runs a chimpanzee sanctuary for animals rescued from the trade. The Big Five are present, with game drives, walks and night drives, and the conservancy also runs a cattle programme alongside its wildlife. Tourism revenue funds the rangers and community projects.
