About this place
Mont Eco Private Game Reserve is a rare Big 5 game lodge within the Western Cape, offering guests a quintessential safari experience on the slopes of the magnificent Langeberg Mountain range in the Klein Karoo, just 2.5 hours from Cape Town.
Nestled within an ancient geological basin framed by the 350 million-year-old relics of the Cape Fold Mountains, the reserve presents a breathtaking tapestry of untouched natural beauty with expansive open plains, gently rolling hills, and winding riverbeds carved into the earth over millennia.
Kingsley Lodge at Mont Eco encompasses the main lodge featuring various communal spaces, diverse dining options, and seven modern, spacious suites situated along a seasonal riverbed. Each 80m² suite features an extra-length king-size bed, a Khoi-San inspired basket-weave bath, separate walk-in rain shower, wood-burning fireplace, private deck with bush views, and fully stocked minibar.
The lodge's interior design features unique textures and colours, incorporating handcrafted doors, mosaic murals, and subtle eclectic elements evoking the vibrant spirit of Africa. Large stacking glass doors seamlessly connect the indoors with the outdoors, centred around a view-drenched swimming pool. Guests can unwind on the expansive deck or in the cosy lounge, and partake in a wine-tasting experience from the private cellar stocked with local wines.
Venture into the wild on expertly guided game drives conducted twice daily, where seasoned rangers reveal the hidden poetry of the bushveld. Watch as giraffes move with elegant grace, elephants traverse ancient pathways, and the spirit of Africa pulses in every rustling leaf and distant roar.
All-inclusive rates include three daily chef-prepared meals, two daily game drives with refreshments, bush walks, and conservation contributions.
