About this place
Mark's Camp is the family lodge at Lalibela. It sits in a wide valley facing a large waterhole, and the camp is discreetly fenced so children can move around safely. The suites are stone and thatch, decorated in a vibrant Pan-African style, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fans, a coffee station, a safe and a private deck.
There are four Classic Rooms for two adults and a child under seven, three Classic Family Rooms with partitioned sleeping areas for four, and one Classic Family Suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and children's beds in the lounge.
Shared spaces include a lounge with a fireplace, two swimming pools, an outdoor boma for fireside meals and an indoor dining room, and the waterhole and its birdlife can be watched from the suites, the pool decks and the lounge.
Stays are full board with two open-vehicle game drives for every night, plus teas, coffees and local drinks. Children of all ages are welcome: under 2s stay free, children aged 2 to 11 pay half the adult rate, and children from 2 can join the open-vehicle safaris.
