About Matusadona National Park

Matusadona National Park lies on the southern shore of Lake Kariba, from the drowned forests and grassy shoreline up into the rugged Matusadona Hills. Elephant, buffalo and hippo gather at the lake edge, with lion and leopard in the park, and the lake gives game viewing from boats as well as on foot and by vehicle. Since 2019 the park has been managed by African Parks in partnership with Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority. Lodges and camps sit on the shore and islands, mostly reached by boat or light aircraft.
