Plains Camp is the private house of the Wolwedans Collection: a four-bedroom villa on the open plains of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, taken by one group at a time with a dedicated villa host, private guide and vehicle, and a chef cooking for your party alone. Each bedroom has its own chiller and opens to the desert, and a large main pool looks out over grass plains that run to the Nubib mountains.

Because the camp is yours, the days are yours: drives when you want them, sundowners where you choose, a full-day safari, e-biking, a guided Bushman walk and the Heart and Home village tour, all at your own pace. The surrounding reserve is 220,000 hectares of private wilderness, an International Dark Sky Reserve and Africa's first Wilderness Quiet Park, so the nights are as much of the point as the days.

The rate is for exclusive use of the villa, based on a minimum of four adults and sleeping up to eight, and is fully inclusive of all meals with house beverages, limited laundry, the stipulated daily activities and airstrip transfers. Children of all ages are welcome. Minimum stay is 2 nights, arriving any day.
