The Apollis Cottage

The Apollis Cottage Guest House is situated in Concordia, Namaqualand, a beautiful area in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa.

Opened in 2012, by Annie Vonk-Apollis and her husband, Bernard Vonk, the Guest House is her dream realized: To open a Guest House on the farmland she grew up on - a way to give birth to a legacy of the Apollis family. The legacy continues with her daughter, Ilse Bovard, now at the helm.

Inside you will find traces of the family legacy through pictures of the parents, children, and grandchildren. There are also pieces of furniture from the original house that have been kept and restored, a way to preserve the memory of 'Ouma's house'.

The Guesthouse boasts 3 large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, as well as a large lounge/dining room area, a porch, kitchen, splash pool, and a growing garden/braai area. Backed by its own well for water as well as solar panels and wind energy for electricity, it really is its own self-sufficient oasis in the desert.

Whether on a trip to see the Namaqualand daisies, or just to find a refuge from the bustling city life, The Apollis Cottage is an ideal location for a romantic trip or one with the family. We also provide our premises for events and conferences.
