About this place
Strath Breede is a stately old farmhouse on a working farm in the Winelands, surrounded by other farms and well away from its neighbours. Only one group stays at a time, so the house, the garden and the pool are yours alone.
The Main House sleeps up to 18. The main bedroom has its own bathroom, and four more bedrooms hold twin beds that can be made up as kings; two further full bathrooms are shared. There is a large farm kitchen, a separate dining room, a lounge and a library, with fireplaces for winter and electric blankets on every bed. The Cottage, an outbuilding beside the house, adds three bedrooms, a bathroom and its own kitchen for six more.
Outside there is a swimming pool, a braai and picnic area, and a large lawn where children can play. Dogs are welcome, wifi is uncapped and the house is fully self-catering, with firewood, a bottle of local wine and rusks from a Breede River farm stall waiting when you arrive.
