Nkambeni Safari Camp

Nkambeni Safari Camp lies on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park close to Numbi Gate, about four hours' drive from Johannesburg. It was conceived by the Nkambeni community to create jobs for local people, and the camp is built to keep its footprint on the bush as light as possible.

There are 150 canvas suites, each with an en-suite bathroom and a private deck. Meals are an a la carte restaurant or bush dinners around an open fire, with a breakfast buffet and picnic lunches packed on request, and there are swimming pools in camp.

Half and full-day safaris into the Kruger run in open vehicles, and guests can also self-drive. Bush walks, cultural tours, Panorama Route tours, river rafting, hot air ballooning, golf and horse riding can be arranged nearby.
