About this place
Lolebezi sits on the banks of the Zambezi in Zambia's Lower Zambezi National Park, one of Africa's most remote and exclusive wildlife areas, and is known for its elephants, wild dogs and above all its leopards, characters such as the Dictator and the mother-and-daughter pair Mai and Scar.
Each private suite has a bath and a plunge pool facing the river, marble vanities, indoor and outdoor showers and a king-size bed, and the two-bedroom villa adds a plunge pool for each suite, its own lounge, deck, vehicle and guide. The lodge mixes contemporary design with African heritage, from local artwork to green rainforest marble, and has a spa and a gym.
Days are tailored to each guest: canoeing, fishing and boat trips on the Zambezi, game drives and walking safaris through the park. It is one of the camps run by African Bush Camps, a Zimbabwean-founded safari company whose Foundation works on education, community and conservation projects in the areas around its camps.
