About this place
Linyanti Bush Camp sits on a private concession on the border of Chobe National Park, in an area with one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa: large herds of elephant, a high density of predators, healthy packs of endangered wild dogs and rich birdlife, from African fish eagles to saddle-billed storks.
There are six tented suites with private decks and gauze sliding doors that open to 180-degree views of the bush, king-size beds under billowing mosquito nets and writing desks; the honeymoon suite adds an outdoor bath. The camp is built in wood, stone and natural fabrics, with a swimming pool, a raised lounge, a library bar, a dining area, a fire pit and a small shop of local crafts.
Activities include game drives, night drives, walking safaris and mokoro trips through the Linyanti Wetlands, and a 20-minute scenic helicopter flight over the concession is included for stays of three nights or more between April and November. It is one of the camps run by African Bush Camps, a Zimbabwean-founded safari company whose Foundation works on education, community and conservation projects in the areas around its camps.
