Lark House

Lark House is a self-catering holiday home set against the mountain in Glencairn Heights, on Cape Town's False Bay coast between Fish Hoek and Simon's Town, with stunning views over False Bay. The natural fynbos garden gives direct access to hiking trails in Table Mountain National Park, whales can be watched from the decks in season, and the house's own bird list runs to more than 90 species, from Cape Sugarbird, Orange-breasted Sunbird, Swee Waxbill and Cape Siskin in the fynbos to African Penguin and African Black Oystercatcher on the nearby coast, with Verreaux's Eagle and Peregrine Falcon overhead.

The house sleeps up to 8 guests (a maximum of 6 adults) in two downstairs bedrooms and a spacious upstairs loft with a double bed and two singles, ideal for families with children. There are three decks: a lower deck with a braai and picnic bench and an upper deck with outdoor seating, both looking over False Bay, plus a secluded garden deck with mountain views. Private parking, inclusive wifi, two smart TVs with Netflix, board games, a scullery with dishwasher and washing machine, and battery power backup keeps the lights, TV and wifi running through load shedding. The house is fully alarmed with a 24 hour response team, and hosts David and Tania live just down the street. Boulders Beach and its penguin colony, Glencairn Beach and wetland, Simon's Town and Cape Point are all close by. Lark House is a BirdLife South Africa affiliated property.
