About this place
Cape Vermeer is a small, five-star graded guesthouse on the lower slopes of the Helderberg above Somerset West, looking out over False Bay and the Hottentots Holland mountains. There are ten places to stay: three Superior Rooms by the pool, four suites and three Deluxe Apartments in a neighbouring building.
Every room has a king XL bed, a walk-in rain shower, air conditioning, its own kitchenette or kitchen, a Nespresso machine and fast fibre WiFi, and most open onto a private balcony or terrace. The suites add underfloor heating, and the Sea View, Bay View and Vermeer suites have a separate bath.
Breakfast is optional. It is served picnic-style on the terrace when the weather allows, or in the guest lounge looking onto the garden. Around the house there is a pool with loungers, a garden and a lounge with a bar, and a concierge can book wine tastings, restaurants and golf. Solar panels and lithium batteries keep the power on, and parking is free, secure and on site.
Cape Vermeer is for adults and older teenagers: children under 16 are not accommodated.

Referral commissions, where applicable, are paid to the referring party upon booking confirmation.
