About this place
Anantara Stanley & Livingstone sits inside the Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve, some 4,500 hectares of protected bush on the Zimbabwean side of the Falls and a short drive from Victoria Falls town. It is a small hotel of sixteen suites set around a lawned garden and pool, with a lounge, a bar and the 1871 Restaurant, which will also serve dinner on your own terrace.
The reserve is a protection zone for black rhino, and the hotel's guides take guests out on game drives, guided morning walks between August and December, bush dinners and an exclusive black rhino conservation experience for no more than six people. Elephant, rhino and antelope move past the suites, and cheetah are seen from time to time.
Beyond the reserve, the hotel arranges guided tours of the Falls, sunrise and sunset cruises on the Zambezi, and three scheduled shuttles a day into Victoria Falls town. Back at the hotel there is a chef's table paired with South African wines, a gin tasting, afternoon high tea for two, and a thatched spa gazebo in the garden with two treatment beds.
Every suite is 70 square metres with a king bed. Garden View Suites face the gardens, Reserve View Suites look out over the bush and take a family of three, and the two Anantara Pool Suites at either end of the hotel open onto a veranda with a private pool and the reserve beyond. The Anantara Kids Club runs activities on the estate for younger guests.
