Pangolin rescue
Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital (JWVH) is a registered non-profit wildlife hospital and rehabilitation centre dedicated to the treatment, rehabilitation and release of indigenous southern African wildlife. The first facility in South Africa to successfully treat, rehabilitate and release rescued pangolins, JWVH cares for injured, orphaned, poisoned and trafficked animals — from birds and reptiles to antelope, carnivores, bats and Temminck’s pangolins. The hospital also supports wildlife crime investigations, provides expert veterinary assessments and forensic documentation, and trains the next generation of veterinary and conservation professionals.
