Introducing Spekboom on Claude, regenerative African travel, routed by AI

Travellers are increasingly phrasing intent in full sentences: "an eco-lodge in the Karoo where my booking supports rhino conservation", "a Cape Dutch cottage where my stay funds fynbos restoration." Search bars were never the right shape for that question. Conversations are.

Today Spekboom is publishing a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector so Claude can answer those questions directly from our catalogue. Ask Claude to find a stay, view photos and the host’s story, check dates and prices, and see exactly which conservation or community cause your booking funds. When you’re ready, Claude hands you a checkout link and you complete payment on spekboom.org.

Why this matters

Every Spekboom booking routes money to a named cause chosen by the host: Karoo rhino protection, rural hospice care, fynbos restoration, heritage language preservation. No other travel connector can answer "find me a stay that funds X" because no other travel connector has that attribute wired into the data model.

Connect it in Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://mcp.spekboom.org/mcp, and start asking.
