About Tsolwana Nature Reserve
Tsolwana is an Eastern Cape reserve in the Winterberg mountains south of Queenstown (Komani), a grassland and thornveld reserve on a plateau with giraffe, white rhino, sable, gemsbok and mountain zebra, and no large predators. It is remote, run with the local community, with basic self-catering lodges and hunting concessions in parts of the reserve. It suits people crossing the Eastern Cape interior who want a night in the mountains, and it is malaria-free.
