About Gondwana Game Reserve
Gondwana is a Big Five reserve on the Garden Route, inland from Mossel Bay, and the only one set in fynbos, which gives it a look no other reserve has: proteas and ericas on the hills, with the Outeniqua mountains behind and elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard on the slopes. It is malaria-free, about four hours from Cape Town, and lodge-based with guided drives. For a Garden Route trip it is the option that adds a safari without a flight to the Lowveld, and the reserve's conservation foundation runs rhino protection and fynbos rehabilitation programmes.
