About this place
Simbavati Camp George lies in the heart of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger. The camp carries the legacy of its founder, George Huysamer, and blends local art, heritage and wilderness in fenced indigenous gardens shaded by large fever trees and planted with a rare collection of cycads.
Eight air-conditioned luxury suites each have a private deck over the dry riverbed, a king bed (convertible to twins), a hand-painted wall mural and furniture in indigenous wood. Bathrooms have a deep soaking tub, indoor and outdoor showers and a separate toilet.
Game drives, guided bush walks and night drives explore the Klaserie, home to leopard, elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, hippo and wild dog, and to the rarely seen Sharpe's grysbok. Meals use fresh seasonal produce paired with South African wines.

Payment processing fees are absorbed by Spekboom for completed bookings, but cannot be recovered once a booking is cancelled. Referral commissions, where applicable, are paid to the referring party upon booking confirmation.
