Questions des voyageurs

Une observation signifie qu’un hôte a vu l’espèce Eurasian Whimbrel sur place ou à proximité. Ce n’est jamais une garantie de la voir.

Which parks and reserves are best for the Eurasian Whimbrel in South Africa?

Hosts on Spekboom have recorded the Eurasian Whimbrel at stays in or beside Goukamma Nature Reserve and iSimangaliso Wetland Park. A record means a host has seen it on the property or nearby, which makes these the places to base yourself; it is never a guarantee of a sighting on any given day.

What is the Eurasian Whimbrel?

The Hudsonian whimbrel or Hudsonian curlew is a wader in the large family Scolopacidae. It is one of the most widespread of the curlews, breeding across much of subarctic North America. This species and the Eurasian whimbrel have recently been split, based on genetic and noticeable morphological differences.
