Questions des voyageurs

Une observation signifie qu’un hôte a vu l’espèce Fairy Flycatcher sur place ou à proximité. Ce n’est jamais une garantie de la voir.

Which parks and reserves are best for the Fairy Flycatcher in Limpopo?

Hosts on Spekboom have recorded the Fairy Flycatcher at stays in or beside Kruger National Park. A record means a host has seen it on the property or nearby, which makes these the places to base yourself; it is never a guarantee of a sighting on any given day.

Where can you see the Fairy Flycatcher in South Africa?

When is the best time to see the Fairy Flycatcher?

The Fairy Flycatcher is recorded throughout the year, so no month is the wrong month to look for it. For the parks where hosts record it most, these are the best seasons they give. Kruger National Park: Apr-Sep. In the dry months animals concentrate at water and the grass is short.

What is the Fairy Flycatcher?

The fairy flycatcher or fairy warbler (Stenostira scita) is a small passerine bird. Formerly placed in the Old World flycatcher family, Muscicapidae, it is now separated with some other "odd flycatchers" as the new family Stenostiridae (Beresford et al. 2005, Fuchs et al. 2006). It is the only member of the genus Stenostira.
