Shepherd's Tree Game Lodge

Shepherd's Tree Game Lodge lies in an exclusive-use zone in the south-west of the 57,250-hectare Pilanesberg National Park, a malaria-free Big Five reserve, and is built for long views over the bushveld.

There are 22 standard rooms, which can be paired into 11 family suites, four executive suites that open onto a patio with a private heated pool, and three two-bedroom villas with their own boma and a deck with a plunge pool. A restaurant, lounge and bar look over the landscape, and dinners can be taken at the boma, in the wine cellar or in the bush.

Two game drives a day are led by a ranger in an open vehicle, and the Amani Spa has three treatment rooms and a couples' suite. Hot air ballooning and Sun City are nearby.
