Oor hierdie plek
Biyamiti Bushveld Camp sits on the banks of the Mbiyamiti River in the game-rich south of the Kruger National Park, half hidden by Delagoa thickets. It is one of the park's smaller and more secluded camps, reached by private access roads open only to residents, which keeps the setting quiet and intimate. With the larger rest camps within easy reach, guests can still draw on their shops and restaurants when needed.
The camp stands in the fairly dense mixed Combretum veld of the area, where tamboti, knob thorn, sausage tree and marula grow. The surrounding bush holds a strong cast of wildlife, with giraffe, kudu, impala, elephant, rhino, buffalo and hippo all regularly seen, along with lion, leopard and hyena, and the occasional cheetah or pack of wild dogs.
Facilities are deliberately simple. A reception with a small shop sells firewood, ice and basic items, each unit has its own braai, and guided bush walks and game drives with trained field guides are on offer.
