Water. Water is treated and recycled on the property to reduce draw on local supply.

Waste. Organic waste is composted and packaging is sorted and recycled rather than sent to landfill.

Sourcing. Food is sourced locally and farm-to-table where possible. Guest amenities are chemical-free and biodegradable.

Wildlife. The lodge contributes to rhino anti-poaching operations across the reserve.

Community. 27.2% of the business is held by staff under a long-running ownership scheme, and hiring is prioritised from neighbouring communities. Rebuilding and maintenance is restoration-focused rather than demolition-first.
