North Island Okavango is situated on a private island in the NG23A concession on the northern fringes of the Okavango Delta, just northwest of Duba Plains and Vumbura. Opened in June 2023 to rave reviews and winner of Condé Nast Traveller Hot List 2024 for Best New Hotels. The camp features 7 spacious tented suites (including 1 family suite), each offering 140 square metres of indoor and outdoor space. Shaded by mature trees including ebony, leadwood, mangosteen and wild fig, the suites overlook a hippo-filled lagoon. Each suite has a private plunge pool and sunken sundeck, fireplace and air-conditioning, enormous indoor shower, freestanding bathtub with bath salts, twin basins, outdoor shower, hairdryer, safe, yoga mats and skipping rope.
