Camp Chobe

Camp Chobe is a new camp on the Ngoma plateau at the western end of the Chobe riverfront, looking out over the Chobe floodplains towards Namibia. It opens on 1 March 2027 with four luxury tents and two family tents, never more than 16 guests, and it is part of Untamed Places, a safari company that is 100% Botswana citizen-owned and run from Maun.

The Chobe is elephant country. Through the dry months family herds and old bulls come down to the river in the late afternoon, and the floodplains below the plateau draw buffalo, hippo and the predators that follow them. Days combine morning and afternoon game drives with boat cruises on the Chobe River and guided walks, far from the busier stretches of riverfront near Kasane.

Stays are all inclusive, covering meals, local drinks, two activities a day, laundry, park fees and the road transfer from Kasane International Airport, about 45 minutes away.
