Oor hierdie plek
Crocodile Bridge is a small, welcoming rest camp tucked into the south-eastern corner of the Kruger National Park, on the northern bank of the Crocodile River. It doubles as an entrance gate, making it a natural first or last stop, and its picnic area is a popular spot for an arrival breakfast or a farewell meal.
The camp sits in excellent game country. Both rhino species are seen regularly, and giraffe, zebra and several antelope often graze within a few hundred metres of the gate. Lion, leopard and cheetah are all recorded in the area, while spotted hyena patrol the camp fence after dark. The setting is knob thorn and marula savannah on basalt soils, with the Lebombo mountains rising to the east.
Facilities are modest but practical: a shop with a small take-away section, communal kitchens and ablutions, a laundromat and a filling station. Guided bush walks and game drives can be arranged at reception, and the camp is the starting point for the pre-booked Lebombo Eco Trail.
