With unrivaled, stunning views of the Iron Crown and Wolkberg mountains, Verkijken Cottage sits on a high hilltop. It looks down on Indigenous Bush which is unique. Within 500m of the cottage you see and hear forest birds found in the Woodbush. Birdwatchers are in for a treat as the gardens are visited by Knysna Turaco, Double-collared Sunbird, Chorister Robin-chat, Cinnamon Dove, Rameron Pigeon, Red-eyed Dove and more. There are the rare species such as Samango monkey, duiker and bushbuck.
