Siruai is an authentic mobile safari camp on private ranch land in the Laikipia Plateau, with views of Mount Kenya and the wild north. It is well off the beaten safari track, in a lesser-known pocket of Kenya, and it is booked on an exclusive-use basis: one group at a time, no other guests.

Seven canvas tents are hidden amongst indigenous trees, each with a private veranda and a spectacular outlook. Inside are inviting beds, en-suite flushing lavatories and traditional safari bucket showers. At night there is an open campfire under some of the starriest skies you will see. One tent next to the mess area sleeps three children if needed.

The camp is an outdoor adventurer's paradise. Hike the boulder-strewn ridgelines and valleys, go by vehicle to a bush breakfast overlooking the water catchments, kayak and tube in the river, or search out the old bush caves. The area is home to Grevy's zebra and African wild dog as well as lion, leopard, ostrich, reticulated giraffe and elephant.

There is no Wi-Fi and phone connectivity is limited; charging facilities are available in camp. A private guide hosts you personally throughout your stay, and on a few occasions the hosts are the owners themselves.

Rates are fully inclusive of all meals and drinks including house wines, beers and spirits, game drives, hiking, fishing, kayaking and other camp activities, transfers from Nanyuki and Lolldaiga airstrips, binoculars on request, laundry, bush meals and sundowners, and a private guide and vehicle for every five guests. Conservation fees, champagne, travel and evacuation insurance and personal effects are excluded.

Minimum stay three nights. A minimum rate equivalent to four guests applies and maximum occupancy is ten. Siruai runs approximately June to November and mid-December to mid-January; it can be re-opened outside those months on request.
